SUNLIGHT’s new US Subsidiary showcased new and current lithium-ion and lead acid batteries at show

SUNLIGHT, the global leader within the energy storage sector, has attended the ProMat show for the second consecutive year under a new division: SUNLIGHT BATTERIES USA. The experienced team from SUNLIGHT’s newly launched subsidiary and assembly hub have attended the leading material handling and logistics show from the 12th to 16th April 2021.  The company has provided an exclusive preview of its new applications for the material handling and logistics sector as well as showcased its sector specific lithium-ion and lead acid ranges.

The new subsidiary has commenced operations earlier in 2021 and is set to manufacture locally both lithium and lead based battery systems with an annual production capacity that exceeds the 2,5 GWh.

The US operation, sales and product management teams from SUNLIGHT’s new US subsidiary and assembly hub based in Greensboro, North Carolina were on hand at the virtual exhibition to discuss its latest products ranges for the US market. This includes:

  • Li.ONFORCE Range: the first to market “smart” lithium-ion battery range. It has been developed to answer the exact needs and demands of the logistics sector including remote servicing, Industry 4.0 integration and a modular design

  • Lead Acid Portfolio: combine the efficiency of tubular technology, which is widely used in Europe, with US market dimensions and specifications to ensure full compatibility and flexibility for all battery applications

Commenting on how SUNLIGHT’s new subsidiary will support the US’ materials handling and logistics sector, SUNLIGHT’s BATTERIES USA, Vice President – General Manager Mr. Brian Faust states: “We have created an experienced and highly qualified team with the USA and we are excited to establish ourselves in a market that we have been evolving over the past nine years by providing our full range of industrial batteries for Electric Industrial Vehicles (eIVs) to major supply chain partners.”

“On behalf of myself and the Sunlight team we would like to extend a huge thanks to all those who have participated in our live sessions throughout the ProMat show and expressed interest in Sunlight and our products.”
